Royski,
Lance and Greg are apples and oranges.
The critics said that Greg didn't always apply himself. That's quite different than being a bad character guy on the court, which Lance is.
I don't know that first thing about him off the court, but on the court, he scowls when he doesn't get the ball, admonishes his teammates for missed shots, and plays exactly zero defense on or off the ball.
Now maybe III can change that, lord knows I have unwavering faith in the man. But give me a choice between Lance Stephenson or Tyreke Evans, I take Evans each and every time.
There's a huge reason that like three schools are recruiting this kid, when his talent dictates that he should have an entire nation of schools chasing his every move.

Not to get too off topic, but it is great that Monroe is being talked about as the best freshman this year without putting up entirely gaudy numbers (albeit in a weaker freshman class). When mock drafts having him going in the top five, that's got to reassure a lot of prospects that you don't need to go to a school where individual performance is put at a premium to get pro recognition.

Reminiscent of Jeff winning BE POY while averaging 14 points!

We need him bad. We have never had a wing thats as explosive as he is? I would love to see him in the Princeton Offense.

I was going to say we need defenders, but at this point, we'll take what we can get.

From a recruiting standpoint, you probably need to shy away from anyone against whom these types of allegations have been made. They may prove to not be true (remember the Duke lacrosse players), but I don't think you can take the risk of offering him and learning later that the charges were well founded.

Yes this is all true, but i dont remember hearing anything about him getting charged with anything. i just searched on google news and nothing came up. No saying its not true, but id like some evidence

One of his teammates is going to Maryland next year, and he has mentioned them in the past though his list is very inconsistent. I wouldn't expect him to end up there. Rooting for him to go to St. Johns. They could really use some star power and publicity which will be good for the conference. And if he gets himself in trouble there... meh no skin off our nose.

His HS under under Armour? i would doubt that his HS is UA but the way I read it and the thing that would make the best sense is that he is interested in landing a sponsorship deal when he ineveitably jumps to the league...he would be the first BBall athlete UA would be sponsoring would he not? again that's just how I read that UA comment....
