It's really not that hard to lose weight. Just take less in then you're using. He's already exercising so I don't get the problem. It's hard to lose weight just on diet, but if you're exercising it's not that hard at all. Just don't eat so much and keep exercising, and you'll lose weight. I hope he can make it back.

And be young. When you turn 47, your metabolism changes and you gain weight just by looking at food.

Mike played 8 1/2 minutes and was the Celtics leading scorer (10pts), of course no rebounds and five fouls are a problem, but he can score in the league.

I hope Mike has the determination to stay at it. He has made a great start on reclaiming his conditioning and career, and he has some great people in his corner starting with Doc! Best of luck to the big guy! A GREAT Hoya.

This is positive for Sweets. Good guy who is underappreciated. Hope he makes the roster. Even if he does not, he'll have a good look in the NBDL, which is better than where he was when the comeback started.

By the way has there been any word or any official medical information about Sweetney having a certain unique condition that causes him not to drop pounds despite intense exercise? Or is it just that Sweetney simply unable to put down the twinkies?

What you mean I won't lose weight by exercising if I eat more food than before I started exercising?

i love sweetney as much as any hoya player, but if he was serious about his career he would show up to camp in shape and ready to play. i look at a kid like dejaun blair who was hefty at pitt and trimmed way down before the draft and now is busting heads in the preseason. there's really no excuse for someone who has all day every day to get himself in shape.
