Biyerem finished 8th in the 110H final in the junior part of this meet:

I believe the juniors run over lower hurdles than the seniors.

Bumbalough and Debole both faded in the 5k's --Bumby tried to stay with a fast pace early on and ended up running a 14:15--I'm sure he was unhappy with that--Bumby tried to hang on to freshman phenom German Fernandez but could not take the pace. Seems like all the gtwn distance guys other than Liam Boylan-Pett had trouble at the meet--have to wonder about their training/peaking strategy

Yes, I saw that Bumbi tried to stay with at least the leaders of the 2nd group, which at that time contained GF, but slowly but surely he started to fall back. And Debole was caught in the massive sprint to the finish and was lapped. Lukezic did well also, and I predict a top five finish for him; would love a top three.
And Monica moves on to the finals in the 400m:

GU's official athletic site is reporting that Biyerem has broken the school record in the110H. However, the wind was over the legal limit of 2 meters per sec (it was 2.8 mps), so IMO, it cannot be recognized as the school record. Also, I am not sure the junior hurdles (and this was a junior race) are the same height as the open hurdlers' race. I will have to check on that. A couple of other errors on the following link. The men's final of the 5000m was not a two-heat timed final, as originally planned, but a one-heat final. And Emily Infeld and not Maggie is running in the junior 800m today. guhoyas.cstv.com/sports/m-track/recaps/062709aaa.html

To follow up on my last email the junior men's hurdles are to be 0.995m in height, while the open men's hurdles are to be 1.067m. This is about 39" vs 42". Therefore, Biyerem's race, while a winderful time (pun intended) is not a school record and the school record is still held by Chris Kinney.

Treniere came close and Maggie set a PR in the final of the women's 1500m:
Women 1500 Meter Run ================================================================ World: W 3:50.46 9/11/1993 Yunxia Qu, CHN American: A 3:57.12 7/26/1983 Mary Slaney, Athletics West Hayward: S 3:59.19 1984 Mary Slaney, USA Name Year Team Finals ================================================================ Finals 1 Shannon Rowbury Nike 4:05.07 2 Christin Wurth Nike 4:06.00 3 Anna Willard Nike 4:07.70 4 Erin Donohue Nike 4:08.96 5 Treniere Clement Nike 4:09.10 6 Lauren Centrowitz Stanford 4:11.21 7 Heidi Dahl East Tenn St 4:11.58 8 Molly Lehman Duke 4:12.13 9 Amy Mortimer Reebok 4:12.94 10 Margaret Infeld Georgetown 4:13.25 11 Sarah Bowman Tennessee 4:16.29 12 Lauren Hagans unattached 4:17.05
In setting a PR Maggie defeated one of her nemeses, Sarah Bowman, who beat her on the anchor leg of the 4x1500m at Penn Relays and nipped her for 4th place at the NCAAs, although Maggie beat both Heida Dahl and Molly Lehman at the NCAAs.

Treniere probably missed a spot of the World's team by 0.14 s, as the 3rd place finisher, Anna Willard, will probably run the steeplechase at the Worlds.
