All the more humorous considering the rampant rumors regarding his own private life. Those are not rumors. It's completely open among all NYCers I know that he's out. I was being unnecessarily discrete, I suppose, when I said rumors. I agree with your statement.

Why waste your time getting annoyed at an opinion piece that you disagree with?

As I predicted earlier, this is following the exact same script as the libtard protests. First, it is "we get no coverage." Then, the media investigates and finds the wackos. Then, it is "the coverage is unfair." Then, the media stops paying attention to rallies of a few hundred people. Repeat.

Just don't talk about Katie Couric going to CBS, or you'll get this thread shut down.

The coverage it gave was mostly to find and concentrate on wackos (and to poke fun at the participants). That made the coverage unfair. Now the media are paying scant attention again but "misunderestimating" the number of people at tea parties yesterday which were, over the entire country, over 100,000.

Which is, of course, dwarfed by the number of people who attended the pro-immigration rallies or any of the anti-war rallies. Silent majority!

Insert - Then complains that the media underestimates number of protesters.

I actually thought Jon Stewart was pretty funny about this last night.
Both in reference to the protesters, the reversal of roles and in reference to MSNBC.
John Oliver's report was pretty good too -- we definitely need more thumbscrews in modern society, literally, not metaphorically.
(Didn't see the rest of the show because hockey was on. Nice going San Jose. Paging Joe Thornton...the playoffs have started.)
And don't act so shocked; I actually think Jon Stewart is extremely funny, much more so than Colbert - who's schtick is getting a little tired, I think; I just don't like Stewart when he (a) takes himself too seriously and/or (b) ignores the idiotic behavior that ALSO occurs on the left.

You didn't miss anything, Ben Affleck was pretty boring. Colbert had a pretty funny take on the "A storm is coming" NOM commercial though, complete with pink lightning.

I like how the new anti-gay marriage organization is called "2 Million For Marriage". Or as they abbreviate it, 2M4M. I am not at all joking about this, that's what they're calling themselves.

The funniest thing about that was that they forgot to check out what was at www.2m4m.org/

Really? Unbelievable. It's times like this (and considering the "teabagging" fiasco) that I'm convinced the right-wing's PR department has been infiltrated by a set of double-agents deadset on subverting their message through hilarious missteps.

This reminds me of these guys I met while at Gtown (not students but friends of friends who were students) who were named (slightly altered for their privacy) Michael, Eric and Nigel. They told me a high school story. Apparently, in a moment of brilliance, these very good friends had decided to get tattoos of their initials on their biceps. Accordingly, two of them got tattoos that read "M E N"...the last one, Nigel, backed out at the last second. According to witnesses, it took a good month or so for Michael and Eric to realize the possible alternative subtext that may be read into their tattoos by others. The best part according to them, was they were so stoked they would take off their shirts at a moments notice to reveal the tattoos...making it even more ridiculous. They have since altered or removed the tattoos. Priceless.
