I wish this season would just end already. I am starting feel bad for these guys. They simply repeat the same mistakes over and over. Everyone just needs a break from the game. Why feel bad for the players - they are the ones screwing up over and over and over again.

Yeah, we're not good. At all. Kind of glad we can stop kidding ourselves about that now. Yep. I wouldnt even call it a choke. Two bad teams locked in a crappy game. It's not like their 0-14 was punctuated by our awesome 20 point run. We had 46 points with 8 minutes left against a 5-11, 13th place BE team. Maybe we just aint good...

I feel bad for the football parents trying to boost their program by selling tix to the BE tourney. They should head to another board to solicit.

Miserable. At least now I won't have to make the decision to get drunk in Mexico or stay in and watch BET games.

we are timid. that's just it. we're timid and there is no leadership by any of the players on this team. guys are all afraid to make a mistake. first hint of pressure and we wilt. no one looking to take it strong. too much passing it around hoping someone else will make a play. oh and our cuts are just bad this year - the footwork is just not there to get guys open on cuts. we get pushed off the ball way too easily.
A fitting end to this season where the team just can't seem to ever find its way. oh well. Spriggs needs to terrify this team in the offseason.

If this team had somehow made it into the tourny as the last bubble team, do you really think we would have won even one or two games? This team -- for the reasons we will rehash out for the next 8 months -- is almost totally unable to step up and win key games in pressure situations. The experience would have been nice, but so will the long seasons of disgust that I'm sure the players are feeling.
I only hope it doesn't hurt our recruiting.

This really goes to the central problem - not necessarily the system or the coach. Confidence breeds confidence and right now confidence isn't pulling much P.

Painful as that was, I definitely feel bad for Jessie - a horrid loss in his hometown that ended our NCAA hopes, and now NO ONE will be at Verizon Center on Saturday for his last home game.
Bad as he was this season, he deserves better than that ending to what has been a great 4-year career on the Hilltop.
And I am in no way agreeing with the Princeton offense haters, but much of our failure this season has to be placed at the feet of our head coach. I still think JT3 can be one of the greats in the college game, but this season has been a disaster. Sure, the players are young, but this team is demonstrably worse in March than it was in December - and his lineup changes, timeout calls, end-game strategies have all been very questionable this season. On this season's evidence, he's a rotten coach, and this is a rotten team.
One thing's for sure: EVERYONE will have a lot to prove next season. Let's just pray the transfer bug doesn't hit us again.
Oh, and where the hell was Freeman tonight (besides sitting on the bench)?

I agree the players gave it away but this crap is INEXCUSABLE. This is not a subjective block/charge call we are talking about here. THE GUY CALLED A TIMEOUT OUT OF BOUNDS. That is about as black and white as it gets. As black and white as a goaltend through the hoop at Syracuse is. THESE ARE NOT CALLS YOU CAN ARGUE.
We played like crap down the stretch but I really wish our guys would get a fair shake for once.

I am legitimitly speechless over what this team just cost themselves in the last 8 minutes of this game. Notre Dame and Cinci just knocked themselves off the bubble this week and we just did too. What in the world does this team do to themselves in the last eight minutes of EVERY GAME!! I am honestly speechless at this point.

Greg throwing that extra pass when we were down one under a minute left in OT was stroke inducing.
Dude, you are the best player on the floor. Go up strong. Please.
So frustrated. So angry.

What's with the substitution patterns? Seems like Jt3 was experimenting with lineups...
BTW, Nikita should not have been in there in OT…

We had a 45-30 lead with just under 10 minutes left. We then proceeded to shoot 1-7 for the rest of the game and 4-8 from the FT line. two of the misses were on 1-1. In OT we went a scorching 1-4 and 2-4 from FT. How in the world do you expect to win when you A) Slow down the pace and then B) miss all your shot and then C) let them get OffReb in order to get back into the game. This was typical Prevent Defense and you know what that means: You only prevent yourself from winning the game. Till next year. Hey, coach, need to work on FT, OR and protecting the ball. Other than that no changes needed. LOL

This will likely kill the recruiting. If you were a stellar player would you want to be trapped into an Ivy League offense and an Ivy League mentality?
A c-minus to the coaches for'09.

So much of this mess is mental and I really think time away with a renewed commitment in the offseason will help everyone - including the staff. The substitutions tonight were AWFUL. Why is he rotating guys in and out? There was no next game.

sapp deserves better? this team deserved better from a senior and so called 'leader' of the team. he stunk for the better part of the season and pouted about not being the 'man'. i hope summers follows him out the door.
also, there is no way thompson is a 'great' in the game. he has to accept as much blame as the players for the repeated failures of this team.

This is all I will say on the subject: 1) It never shoudl've been close we should've stepped on their throats wwhile up 15. 2) You cant' call a Edited time out falling out of bounds! They get that call right we have the ball with 15 seconds to go. How was this call not overturned! Is there any way to appeal that call and throw this travesty of a game out. 3) Make your damn freethrows! 4) Jessie got thrown by the st john's player who scored the winning basket. 5) How does a 54% free throw shoot make all his free throws! 6) how does a team that goes 0-14 to start the half suddenly get so hot that they barely miss the rest of the way! 7) Edited I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT REALLY JUST HAPPENED!
