Probably going to NBA in this draft instead of leading us to the Final Four next year. I hope this is a sarcastic post - bowman would not be taken in the first two rounds right now...

There is no way Bowman would be drafted right now. He is definitely not ready. Maybe after another year with JT3. Right now he is a NBDL or Europe player and would probably then just get lost in the mix. Love him but he's not going pro yet.

Brandon is a classic four-year guy who will get drafted. He came in as a raw freshman with talent:
7.6ppg 4.5rpg 38% FG 16% 3-PT 2.01 TO/g
Made the jump to offensive focus with an offseason in the weight room and in the gym:
15.9ppg 8.1rpg 43%FG 32%3-pt 3.7to/g
Now refining his game:
15.8ppg 6.8rpg 50%FG 35%3-pt 2.7t0/g
Next year he should be a leading senior on a very good team so who knows? If he knocks off one more turnover and gets the 3-pt% up to 40+, he'll be drafted.

I wish they had given the players a little love. We wouldn't be here without Bowman and Green's contributions, so it'd be nice for them to at least get a mention. Plenty of facetime for "pops" being passive aggressive towards his interviewer!

That was a great segment-it had the feel of the Post's article about the two JTs-true it would have been nice to have them give the players some love, but JT3 was the angle.
Anyway, this is the first time I've seen the bball version of Gameday-have to say I like it. First off, it doesn't have Vitale. Secondly they're giving the BE some love. They haven't descended to the fluff that much either.

Pops and Boeheim both had me chuckling here. The segment on the Hoyas was nice, but what has me shocked beyond belief is that I have started to like Magoo more and more. Boz, come beat some sense into me.

Bilas and Digger Phelps. Thankfully Vitale had nothing to do with it-I can barely take him at night, let alone right when I get up.

I dont think he was using the term desperate in a negative way. He just meant we needed to win pretty badly tonight, which we do.
Go Hoyas!

He just told us what we basically know already, which is that we must win tonight. As far as ND, they are the most desperate in the sense that they are on the brink of falling off the bubble if they don't pick up some wins in this stretch.

How much did Pops crack you guys up during the interviews with him? "I hide during the games so interviewers like you don't ask me stupid questions" or something to that effect. Hilarious. Agree that a mention of Jeff or Brandon would have been nice, but we'll take the love. Also liked the comparison between the BE and ACC at the top of the show that laid out a lot of the points we've seen here on the board.
There were also some positive mention of us during the UConn/Johnnies game, which was nice.
Finally, yeah, Boeheim actually wasn't miserable to listen to during his interview - weird.

Can somebody give a recap of the piece? I was watching the game when they had the piece on at 8. If you hear that it'll be on again, that would be good too...

Actually, Boheim gave a really good compliment to JT2 and the Big East of years past. The guys from College gameday asked him do you like the Big East now or the one of years past. Boheim said,"...Well, I like the Big East of the past. You know when you have Lou Carneseca and John Thompson, they don't make coaches like that anymore. Its just not the same"
