Even my wife, who didn't go to Georgetown, turned to me and said, "what the hell is this guy talking about?" Nice work dude. Who screwed up the WAG shirts anyway? I guess they should be WAHS shirts.

Yea, I know I saw a lot of those "We are Hoya Saxa" shirts last year (I think it might have been a Freshman thing, Class of 2011, but I don't know). I know that it's supposed to be clever with "We are What Rocks" but it just makes me shake my head. It annoys me even more than when, every now and then, I hear a "Let's Go Georgetown" chant *shudder*

That was tough. We are What Rocks? No We Are Georgetown. I was lucky enough to have a great tour guide and I knew what Hoya Saxa meant before I enrolled.
Anyone on here write for The Hoya? Let's get a correction. This needs to be fixed. I get asked the question "what is a hoya" weekly and I answer it correctly. Every student here should be able to.

None of these, however, can top the campus tours where the guides told prospectives, "No one really knows for sure which steps are the Exorcist steps. Some say they're the ones next to ICC, some say they're the steps by Darnall..." "Doesn't it mean Saint Diego?"

That's what I usually tell visitors on campus, at least, before I explain the real answer. It seems like our collective intelligence has gone down since the "Hoya Saxa" chant was created. Invented to demonstrate the vast knowledge of our student body years ago. Unknown to demonstrate the ignorance of our student body today.... Anyway, can anyone find a link to this abomination? I'm ashamed...

Please.

They showed St. Elmo's my freshman year in St. Mary's (sweet no air conditioning there). I was all like.... "Hey... what school is that? And we don't have frats here." I came to find out later that it wasn't a school after all. It was U of M.
