Hey Z. Haven't gone anywhere, just post a LOT less for work and sanity issues. Moved out to the burbs- maybe we'll grab that beer around BET time...

I am a conservatives's conservative and I love Michael Steele and hope he becomes RNC chief. Would be joining other African American Republicans who have served with distinction over the last several years such as Rice and Powell.

I am a conservatives's conservative and I love Michael Steele and hope he becomes RNC chief. Would be joining other African American Republicans who have served with distinction over the last several years such as Rice and Powell. I appreciate the service of Rice and Powell. It is not easy to be associated with the mess that has evolved in this country of lat, and they deserve credit for the loyalty they've shown in addition to the service they've rendered. The degree to which this service is "distinguished" (on the good or bad side) is a matter of intense dispute. My take on Powell is that he flushed what had been a distinguished career down the toilet when he proferred empirically incorrect information to the UN despite his reservations about the invasion and the wise counsel he had developed over the years. To make such a wholehearted endorsement before the UN in those circumstances was and remains troubling. On the other hand, I disliked Rice more a few years ago than I do now. She made some honest mistakes and has since used her wise judgment to take a lower profile.
