If we aren't being paid for this game, whoever scheduled it ought to be sacked immediately. Again, Georgetown is not being paid because it's a home and away series. The last guarantee game Georgetown got was FIU in 2002.

If we go an entire game without a first down, it might be time to put this program out of its misery. If we aren't being paid for this game, whoever scheduled it ought to be sacked immediately. Paying us? I don't think so. Where would the money come from for that? Obviously, Richmond is way better than us, but it's not like they're a profit-making enterprise. It's still 1-AA football, after all.

So we can have 1,500 people show up next year to our cruddy high school stadium and watch us get beat by 60 by a team no one has ever heard of except 1-AA junkies?

2009 non-conference opponents: Howard, Richmond, Yale, Old Dominion, one TBA.

I would expect MUCH BETTER results if this school would unlock the potential of the program and let it compete to its full abilities.
The problem is that GU has to get over the prejudice of low expectations.

This is not intended as a knock, but we actually match-up pretty well with their second team. Given that they're a full scholarship program, that ain't so bad.

How embarassing is it that the announcers actually stopped covering the game at this point?
Anyway, Richmond just fumbled the ball. Time for more cowbell...I mean, option.

Honest to goodness, this is awful to watch, but it's about what I expected.

First play, first down, 4:33 left, Georgetown fumbles on its own 8. (Third first play fumble of the last six series.) Three plays, 48-0, 2:33 4th.
Georgetown has added Brian Newman at QB--his first collegiate appearance as a senior.

According to our list of future games, we don't play Richmond again until 2011.

Hey, it tops losing to Holy Cross 55-0 last year.

Honest to goodness, if we're going to play a third QB, shouldn't it be one of the 7 (literally, 7) freshman we recruited? I mean, good for Brian Newman, but I just don't understand the rationale.

Georgetown ends with 88 yards total offense. The three QB's were 4-11 for 8 yards, three fumbles, and an INT, which turned into 24 easy Spider points.
Two yards a pass. Strange.

Look, the heat on this one falls on whoever scheduled the game, not our QBs or o-line. We shouldn't be on the field with U of R at this point. We also need to really re-think our offense. Its terrible. Just awful.

Richmond has a better Sagarin rating than UNLV (which played BYU pretty closely today), UCLA, and Washington State. So again bring on Wazzu.

We don't have the line to run a spread offense. Richmond just blew through the line and beat up on our QB. I say tighten it up, put some blocking backs in, and give the QB a little time to throw the ball. The receivers had zero receptions yesterday because of the pressure put on Lawrence and Brady....
You have to play the offense the players are capable of playing.
