I have no idea where to post this but it was too crazy not to post : dailycaller.com/2012/06/15/bryce-harper-conservative-hero/Bryce Harper is a conservative hero because he's white or something and Jason Heyward is a lazy liberal because he's black. He does know that Bryce Harper is a member of a union, right? I'm not saying (EDIT: Sorry to the creator of Beavis & Butthead and KOTH) Mike Mark Judge makes any sense, I really don't think he does make a point very well here, but where exactly are you getting the black/white part? Harper happens to be white. Heyward happens to be black. Judge doesn't even make mention of this, though. And it is not any part of the argument he is trying (albeit poorly) to make. To quote Bon Qui Qui: "Don't get crazy." The lesson here is not about race. It is one we have known for a long time: Sportswriters (yes, I'm looking at you, Mike Lupica) should not talk about politics and political reporters should never talk about sports (unless you are George Will or the late Tim Russert).

Harper happens to be white. Heyward happens to be black. Judge doesn't even make mention of this, though. Oh please, that point wasn't even subtle enough to be a dog whistle. He comes right out and says Heyward is a metaphor for Obama and Harper is Romney. Why'd he choose Jason Heyward and not Freddie Freeman, who is white and has sat out this season for every possible combination of malady you could think of?

Wow. Whatever you say. The baseball is white too. Damn racist baseball. And why do the umpires have to wear black all the time? Everyone hates them.

Because Heyward was the outfielder fielding the ball when Harper took the extra base and Freddie Freeman was on the bench hurt?

Because Heyward was the outfielder fielding the ball when Harper took the extra base and Freddie Freeman was on the bench hurt? As if that wasn't an arbitrary and frankly imagined event to play to the narrative that was being constructed?

For those keeping score at home: Clinton - 14 Nixon/GW Bush - 6 Reagan - 3 Kennedy - 2 Ford, Carter, GHW Bush - 1 Johnson - 0 Obama has a way to go to reach Nixonian (or Bushian) territory. www.fas.org/sgp/crs/secrecy/RL30319.pdf

I think, you know, the administration would be best served by coming clean on this.

I am shocked that the most open, transparent administration in history is about to have its AG held in contempt of Congress. Simply shocked.

I am shocked that the most open, transparent administration in history is about to have its AG held in contempt of Congress. Simply shocked. "Shocked" is not the first word that comes to my head. We're talking about an extreme right-wing Congress that is looking to score political points rather than get to the truth. I don't think anyone was surprised they held a contempt vote, except you I guess. P.S. I know you are being facetious, but I don't think this Congress's decision to hold the AG in contempt says anything objective about the administration's openness and transparency.

In yet another display of the regard the Obama White House holds for the American Presidency and the White House itself, it seems invited guests were permitted to pose for pictures while giving the finger to the portrait of Ronald Reagan. Pure class. All the way.

Pure class. All the way. Yes, the White House was fully complicit! I support any and all countermeasures (handcuffs, tasers, free-speech zones in the East Wing only) that will prevent Elvado's delicate sensibilities from being offended in the future. If this type of behavior is not crushed immediately, someone might even eventually place duct tape across the plaque under Reagan's portrait.

Show me your friends...
Complicit or not, it is Obama who invited these miscreants into the White House.
What would the media reaction be if Tea Party members flipped off FDR?

A. I am wary of any article that purports that it is the one which is going to tell me "the truth" in its headline. B. I am even more wary of an article that purports to tell me "the truth" when so many of the key individuals refuse to comment. C. I am further wary of an article that purports to tell me "the truth" when the majority of its focus is on interpersonal squabbles and resentments. D. I am ultimately wary of an article that purports to tell me "the truth" when Doris Burke is a contributor. Hell, she doesn't even know much about college basketball anymore. ;D E. Finally, nothing in the article addresses the fact that it is pretty clear that the DOJ, in the person of Eric Holder primarily, lied -- excuse me, misspoke -- to Congress. They retracted that lie -- excuse me, misstatement -- and are now refusing to provide the additional documentation requested. It there is no "there" there, then why not turn the information over, with the necessary classified information redacted? And why the need for executive privilege? For all of their exhaustive research, I'm really not seeing a whole lot of "truth" here. But it was a good read for lunch.

Team Obama turns out to be a big fan, spending $17,963.04 at Staples this year alone, according to Federal Election Commission reports. The Obama campaign just doesn't walk into stores to shop, it also participates in the Staples Advantage business-to-business market where a majority of the spending went. washingtonexaminer.com/obama-hates-bain-but-loves-bain-backed-staples/article/2501246 Do as I say...

President Obama tells crowd in Ohio that everyone would have to admit he's tryong really hard. While he is at it, perhaps those same folks would admit that he is failing really badly. Jimmy Carter tried really hard; Herbert Hoover, too. News flash to Barry--your job is not to try but to accomplish.
