Or get matching capes and secure then with solid gold brooches in the shape of a dollar sign like Ms. Rand used to do. The rest of the Young Republicans might be interested to read what the National Review had to say about Ms. Rand's work back in 1957. www.nationalreview.com/flashback/flashback200501050715.asp[/threadjack] Barker's article was a good read -- I always enjoy it when quality GU basketball articles are published by the local press in the middle of the offseason, and Barker seems to have free reign to write such articles at the Times. That's no knock on Camille Powell, who is probably doing other pieces for the WaPo.

Francisco answered courteously, "It is not advisable, James, to venture unsolicited opinions. You should spare yourself the embarrassing discovery of their exact value to your listener.
I will reserve my opinion on that national review article.
back to the thread. I for one have thought barker's articles towards the end of the season and after it have been very good. Camille offers a much more personal feel in her writing. It feels like she is living and dying with the team, just like we are. Either way better basketball should encourage better writers (or at least more inspired writing) in the local press.

Pretty funny review too. Not even getting into the philosophy, Atlas Shrugged was so overblown and over-wrought that it read like a comic book. And my apologies to comic book afficionados -- I don't read them so I am just guessing there. Back on topic, I agree with some of the recent posts. I think the team will be able to deal with a shortened bench in a game or two if someone gets into foul trouble. The injury issue is really the big concern I have in terms of depth right now. If any of the guys in the main rotation suffer an injury, it will have a pretty big impact this year. If it turns out that Chris is injury-prone or a recurring injury, uh oh...

Everything you need to know about Atlas Shrugged has already been summed up adequately by South Park's own Officer Barbrady. www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/103603If you don't feel like watching it (e.g., you're at work) a transcript is available: www.imsdb.com/transcripts/South-Park-Chickenlover.html
