Good b'day present for my wife (plus dinner and a movie)!
That was a war out there today. I felt a little breathing room at +11, but I knew Pitino would have them charging back. Again the Hoyas showed their "character."

It's my wife's birthday too.......she is very happy with the win (I think it is more because I will be in a MUCH better mood the rest of the day than I would have been with a loss!!)

Why can't people just give us our respect ... we know how to win games in the clutch .. its not our fault your team misses foul shots ... the refs had nothing to do with the outcome of this game .. it was a great game by both teams - THE BEST TEAM WON ... SAY NO MORE ... anyway - who cares ? WE'RE THE BEAST OF THE BIG EAST ... AGAIN!!!!!! .. CAFE31 IS CALLING MY NAME!!!!!!! CONGRATS to the luckiest team in the WORLD !

I'm glad we won but we were lucky. Rivers is downright frightened on the court. Next season with Jesse, Austin, and Chris in the backcourt, if they stay out of foul trouble, Rivers ought to be no more than a 10-minute per game player. Do you mean that a guard who is averaging 19.7 mins per game his 2nd year and who averaged 11.7 mins as a Frosh will see less minutes as a Junior than as a Freshman? I agree with you in that his minutes will go down, but not to below Freshman levels. He will be one of the more experienced players and JTIII will always count on Rivers for his defensive sets, stops and rebounds. Just like he did last year, he'll continue to work on his shot with a shooting coach selected by his father. Rivers, Wright and Clark will share the Wallace/Crawford minutes.
