Comcast Sportsnet just did a segment on the Hoyas in which JTIII allowed their cameras to film a practice this week. We had heard this already, so I guess no great surprise, but it was still encouraging to see #4 participating in the high-impact drills (i.e., he wasn't just shooting to the side - he was clearly participating in the drills that were conducted at full-speed, game conditions, hard cutting, etc.). Whether this means he's coming back tommorrow/this year who knows, but it does validate the stories that it's possible and that he is (apparently) practicing fully with the team. Yeah, I saw that too. Of coure I saw Nikita practicing too and well, you know....

Yeah normally I'm ok with more speculation than the Mods like to allow. But the speculation on Chris isn't even fun. Let's go back to the conspiracy theories or move along. Do you think Chris not playing is somehow tied to the way refs hand us games? What if Chris isn't playing because he is reffing our games!? It's like that Saved by the Bell where Zack and Slater kidnap the Russian chess player so Screech can win their face-off. Maybe Chris kidnaps a ref before each game and puts on a Mission Impossible-style mask of that ref's face. Then he gives the ref a mask of his own face and makes that ref sit on our bench. This way the drugged, gagged ref just sits on the Hoyas bench - dressed quite well, by the way - and Chris can make a decisive call on behalf of his teammates in every close game. It's a fool-proof plan! I assume fewer people will be clamoring for his return now that I've outed this conspiracy. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Chris has been out of the lineup for every one of the games that "the refs handed to us." I don't think the gagged ref sits on the bench, we just get a body double to do that. The "Chris" on the bench wears glasses, which is just a convenient way to disguise his appearance. Did Chris wear glasses in the games he played in? NO! The real ref is locked in a dungeon run by Hoya Blue where he gets pelted with oranges for the entire game by the Hoya Blue members who gave up the front row seats that are reserved for them every game in return for free priority tickets to the NCAA Tournament games. There was a bit of trouble at the Marquette game, so we were only able to insert Chris into the game near the end by sending out a giant clam out onto the court to eat the real ref, allowing us to replace him with Chris. </sarcasm> (The sad thing is that I didn't have to make up the bit about a giant clam eating a ref at the Marquette game: www.zooperstars.com/Characters/Clammy_Sosa.asp )

Chris has always kept his mind in the game, so I think it'll just be a stamina thing with him, he's a very very tough young man, believe I know he try his best. Just think he's young and ready and willing, and he definitely will have his time, there's no rush especially with the "special gift" he has from God. He just has to keep his head up. I just wish my son was here. I know it's frustrating to Chris, but I'm sure his parents are telling him the right things, and he will see it in him and he will be alright. WE ARE GEORGETOWN! FoEva

Just to let it be known, was riding the subway this morning and reading the paper, there was a little segment about CW. Said JTIII will use the BE Tourny to work CW back into the rotation. Gotta love it, just hope we attack when Nova presses. Please attack the basket, and CW has the speed to do just that.

Just more incentive to play 3 games in NYC, to get CWright more comfortable in the rotation.

He was in warmups last game too, let's hope he plays this time. I think he is just the spark we need, especially when we're up against the zone and just passing the ball around the perimeter for 25 seconds. I think his ability to penetrate and either take it to the hoop or dish it out can be a big asset. Plus having him against the press should help too.
