That guy is good on CNN. I did not know he was a Hoya. I see a Pulitzer in his future ;D.

Lic, I thought Jessie might be on the line, but upon review, he's clearly an inch or so behind it.
Really, I'd put Memphis and Kansas as clearly better, and UCLA, who hasn't really played better as better because of their balance.
UNC? We have issues, but they haven't played defense at all. Tennessee has no inside presence. Washington State is the same team as last year. Indiana was overrated because they were beating up on smaller and weaker teams. Duke has no inside presence, though I would rate them higher (provided they beat Maryland) because they rarely throw a stinker out there.

Curious if anyone had the same thought I did last night. Out of timeout, Huggins seems to dispute that Wallace is the shooter on a play when he was clearly fouled. Unsuccessfully tries to ice a great free throw shooter. JTIII was clearly annoyed. A few minutes later, Georgetown bench seems to claim that there was a clock error. Huggins clearly annoyed. Maybe it was just me, but I swore after the refs were done and they told Thompson whatever they told him, I saw a little smirk on his face. My interpretation was JTIII was letting Huggins know that he knew what Huggins was doing earlier and that JTIII was not going to be bullied in Morgantown. Loved it! Oh absolutely. JTIII also was clearly annoyed by the amount of holding was going on down low especially in the first half. There doesn't seem to be much love between those two. I had re-watched that sequence last night where Huggins was disputing that Wallace was the one that got fouled -- you can see him signal he thought it was #22 (he flashed 2 fingers on both hands) indicating he thought it was Tyler that got fouled; however, Tyler was not even in the game at that point. Immediately after that you can see JTIII and one or two of the coacheds on the bench stating (correctly) that Tyler wasn't even in the game at that point. It seemed to me a clear attempt to try to ice Wallace, as others have stated and I thought the refs humored Huggins for far longer than they should have allowed. The other thing I found interesting after Pat's block was where JTIII was motioning to get all the players to the lockerroom. Part of me was thinking it was for potential safety issues, but I think it was even more a "let's get the heck off the court so the refs can't reconsider anything Huggins was pleading with them. Great to come out of Morgantown with the Win, but hoping for a more consistent showing against St. John's on Wednesday at MSG. After seeing what Rutgers did this past weekend, it just gives further support to the notion that you can't sleep on anyone in the Big East, on the road or at home.

Did anyone else notice that Roy did the jump ball yesterday instead of Summers ? i think that was a first. Jeff Green did it the last 3 seasons & DaJuan had done it up to this point this year. I wonder why the change was made

That guy is good on CNN. I did not know he was a Hoya. I see a Pulitzer in his future ;D. He is one of the "hosts" for Washington Post online chats. About half the time during basketball season, he will end the chat on a Hoyas-related question, always saying that they're going to win.

A couple of comments. I think our defense has been keeping us in the games. On offense, I think it is clear how much Jeff meant for us. He just made some many people better. I think we are still dealing with Jeff's not being here. I hope in lic's February we jell with this unit.
UConn's beating of a top 10 team in another power conference on the road shows how tough the Big East is. The teams in the BE are not consistent, but they are tough, especially at home, although Rutgers proved that even a weak BE team can beat a tough BE team on the road.
Let's not be looking past St. John's. I think once or twice in the past we have done that.

The "get the players off the court" rush is longstanding, dating back to JT Jr. After a close game in a hostile arena, the team almost always hustles off the court as fast as possible, mostly for safety reasons. Duke tried to do it in The Phone Booth a couple of years ago, but I am not sure how successful that was.

Great effort on the boards! Three to four players were rebounding together. Keep it up!
Love the 80% from the line.
