I, for one, did not see this happening (disclaima: not sure yet it is actually happening). I thought she'd win solely because she was a woman and I expected most women to vote for her. So, I think her possible implosion is a surprise, despite the fact she is easy to dislike. As for her "perfect socialist world", I think she is probably to the right of Obama. This is exactly right. Clinton is constantly viewed as more liberal than she actually is. In reality, she's the most rightward of all the Democratic candidates. Conversely as Ed also brings up, Obama is in reality more liberal than people perceive him to be. This is a huge advantage for him, and conversely a huge disadvantage for her.

How could you know? HRC is all things to all people. What does she stand for? Depends upon to whom she is speaking at any given moment.

Dear God,
Hey, its me again. Listen, I was wondering if you could do me a favor. You see, I've been good lately. Haven't done anything to defame your good name, haven't broken most of your rules, honor my mom and dad, all that jazz.
Would you please... PLEASE... in your infinite wisdom grant me this wish: that in the coming weeks Hillary has a Howard Dean-like meltdown that all your children can watch and chuckle at on YouTube for years to come? Think about it for a minute. All of humanity united in a hearty laugh for decades upon decades. Just might help you in your internal struggle against that Lucifer clown.
Thanks, bro. Looking forward to what you come up with.
Peace out, BuffaloHoya
[EDIT]: P.S. - Thanks for beer, by the way

Some desperation now. Clinton campaign is playing on the fear that if a black president is elected he will be assassinated by comparing Obama to JFK and Clinton to LBJ: thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/07/civilrights/Its actually not a bad comparison, Clinton would pass a lot of policy and continue an unpopular war with meager promises of looking at the situation if elected. ON EDIT: It probably doesn't do much for African-American voters when you give a speech that implies that Martin Luther King did nothing.

There is no low beneath which a Clinton will not go.
Her problem remains both simple and insoluble: People genuinely dislike her.

Her problem remains both simple and insoluble: People genuinely dislike her. Is this the HRC Corollary of the Sally Fields Theorem?

Say what you want about Carville and Begala - those guys know how to win elections and they have tons of experience. The race may get more interesting.

No, I don't disagree about Carville & Begala. They are true pros and if anyone can bring Clinton's campaign back, they can.
(unlike say, Bob Shrum or Donna Brazile, perennial losers)
I was more making fun of Hillary than those two. Just 'cause, you know, it's fun.

Hillary's problem is not her handlers or strategists.
