No I don't have any new information about this, but why shouldn't Zambrano hurt his shoulder? I don't know what the Cubs pay Larry Rothschild, but I'm assuming the kickbacks from Chicago area orthopedic surgeons more than double that amount.
If I were a pitcher in the Cubs minor leagues (and trust me, I'd be awesome, like a less swarthy Rich Garces) I would immediately demand a trade to somewhere where I wouldn't be guaranteed shoulder/elbow/vag(for Prior) surgery.
Just bitter on a Thursday morning.

These Cubs continue to fail to impress me. Even if the requisite fractured labia fails to appear through 162, I have the utmost faith that the hype will deflate quickly and ugly.

The Cubs are playing great at home. 32-8 is sick. And where are the Edmonds bashers now? For a guy who looked washed up, he sure has been rejuvenated. Maybe it's the chewing gum.

I'm still anti-Edmonds (notice the name of the thread has not changed), but I will appreciate that the Cubs are not afraid to use him as a tool to accomplish whatever goals they may accomplish this year.
P.S. - sometimes it is best not to say things out loud P.P.S. - I'm terrified of the banner ad in a thread that has the words "Edmonds" and "tool" in it. P.P.P.S. - SWEEP!

Your logic confuses and frightens me. I may not understand your world's fancy terms like .800 home winning percentage and chewing gum, but all I know is 84, 89, ...

damn, this crostown is entertaining.
I had my doubts about both teams but I'm thinking both are legit.
I also didn't believe I could go from loathing the Sox bullpen to loving it such a short time

This series will have to be settled on a neutral field, I guess. I suggest Lincoln Park at high noon tomorrow. If this series did prove anything, it's that Lou Piniella really is one of the best managers in the history of the game, and Ozzie really is a total chump. And to echo vcjack's comments, my sincere apologies to Kenny for bitching about the Sox bullpen before the start of the season as usual. They've been pretty great, although Jenks almost gave me a coronary last night with that leadoff double.

Oh and I see why you guys dislike Edmonds, He must have killed at least 10 rally's. He and Nick Swisher must have an evil pact to fail miserably at the wrong moments (grand slams in blowout games don't count Nick )

Revenge is sweet, saith the Sox.
I too have been disappointed in Swisher this year, but as to Friday's slam, that turned the game into a blowout, it didn't occur during a blowout.

Hey, you Sox fans, get off my lawn! What are you doing here?!?! You're driving down the property value! Scat!
Besides, if you're here all day, who's watching the meth lab?
(just joking, I know, I know, I'll just go back to talking on my cell phone while not watching games in the world's largest outdoor gay bar... )

Wrigley is the world's largest outdoor gay bar?
Hey, it's all in good fun, you guys.
On a more serious note, I will say that no fans should have to go through what the Sox fans went through and Cub fans are still going through. My dad was one year old when the Sox won their previous championship. I've been a Sox fan for a lot of years. The Sox winning in 2005 was by far (and I mean BY FAR) my greatest experience as a fan, and that includes Hoyas, Lakers, Dodgers and others, in large part because my dad was still around for me to share it with. I hope you Cub fans (particularly you older fans, who have lived first hand through more misery) can experience that sooner rather than later (although not at the expense of the Sox).

You've never heard the "Wrigley Field, World's Largest Outdoor Gay Bar" joke? What kind of Sox fan are you?
Then you've probably never heard this one either: How many gay guys does it take to flip over a car?
I guess we'll know when the Cubs win the World Series.
I'll be here all week. Try the veal...

A Sox fan who has never lived in Chicago. Then you don't know that the Sox get their biggest crowds when they have their "Buy Your Tickets With Camel Cash" promotion.
