Fat Ass Weis is getting what he deserves. Maybe he can show the opposing teams his Super Bowl Rings. He's a slob and will likely die within the next 3 years if he continues to live as he does--what a disgrace to life, let alone football. How can you lead anyone when you can't lead yourself away from the dinner table, are so lazy you have surgery to lose weight, and then get angry when it doesn't work--PUT THE SHOVEL DOWN BLUBBER ASS!
Some other things I've noticed this weekend:
1. Florida's offense "being awesome" isn't a shock-they have a QB to do what Meyer wanted to do with the terrible Chris Leak.
2. USC's Patrick Turner sucks--absolutely sucks. As long as they keep promoting him as their "go to guy"--they'll lose. Booty is not that good--and without Smith and Jarrett to make circus catches on his marginal throws-they'll struggle.
3. UCLA's performance was disgraceful. Not as disgraceful as.....
4. Losing to CROOM--Tubberville will join Fulmer looking for employment this offseason.
5. The Big 10 is the worst league in the country. They had teams lose to Iowa State, Duke, and Florida Atlantic today. All 3 made bowls last year--when they didn't deserve it.
6. Houston Nutt has the mannerisms of a coke addict. Will someone send him to rehab--he's a total spaz.
7. Giving Bill Callahan an extension is about as dumb as giving Charlie Weis a 10 year extension when he's going to die in the next 3 unless he shows some self discipline.
8. All this talk of the "best team in country" is comical. Let the season play out--teams will seperate themselves.
9. Mack Brown made Gary Williams and Bruce Pearl look well hydrated and dry today--I know it's hot in Florida-but my goodness did Mack look like he just jumped into a pool.
10. Do we need to see QB's families every game? Last week Clausen Family Hour on ESPN--tonight the Keller's -until their son threw 2 ints to start 2nd Half. Then we got Clarence Thomas. No word on if Lisa Salters had a coke can near her--hopefully not.

Congratulations Central Florida. You took what would have been a perfect day yesterday, other than Washington gifting Ohio State a victory, and dragged it down into the mud. I almost boarded the Locker bandwagon, but guess I'll have to stick it out with "Timbow" and the Urban Meyer Experience.
And am I the only one who thinks that there should be equal coverage for 0-3 teams, as in we don't get highlights of any other 0-3 teams...

Frankly, I can't see enough "highlights" from one 0-3 team.

Right now I am thankful for the Big Ten's existence, because it is taking heat off the Big 12's own terrible performance. That Iowa State team lost to Northern Iowa the week before. The week before that, Kent State. Oklahoma State got wrecked by Troy this week, and Nebraska 2007 was exposed as being pretty much the same team as Nebraska 2006, with another terrible game plan against SC. Haven't gotten to watch as much CFB as usual over the past couple weeks, with combined vacation (including a trip to Cal's Memorial Stadium to watch the Bears take on Tennessee) and moving, so I will refrain from commenting on Texas for the time being except to say that the 'Horns are lucky to be 3-0. There's still one tune-up game (Rice) before conference play starts -- hopefully the staff can fix some problems before then and show Jamal "fumble" Charles how to hold onto the pigskin.

Austin, I thought that Texas was really going to have a tough time with UCF and as it works out I was right. I just wish they could have finished the deal. Oh well, I guess I will have to settle for the "moral victory" .... well, that and the UCF +17 1/2 points. I guess in my mind they did "win."

3. UCLA's performance was disgraceful.
I'm sending a letter to the LA Times suggesting that Karl Dorrell be terminated (me and millions of others, no doubt). That was a performance that would have even made Steve Lavin blush.

Maybe ND would be better off if they weren't starting an emu at QB: tinyurl.com/25ufucThis could be the year Navy gets a win vs. ND...

kc, I'd love to see it and at this point I don't know if it's possible for the Irish to beat anyone. It's tough to win if you don't score. Even if your defense plays perfectly -- and theirs is certainly rather far from perfect -- but even so, 0-0 doesn't get it done. Still though, Navy is down a bit too. They didn't look very good at all against the powerhouse known as Ball St.

I'm not sure why I am Andrew Meyer, but it is certainly a story for sure. The oddity is that he wasn't an antagonist to Kerry. At a cursory glance, you would presume that this was a conservative who was trying to bait Kerry on some issue. But this guy was actually a Kerry supporter, but as the story is told, he was taking too long to get to his point and his microphone was shut off per instructions from the people in charge. In any case it is gettin quite a lot of coverage locally and some even nationally.

The new Sagarin ratings are out. www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt07.htmCouple of surprises. Cincinnati is #6! I don't think they've been that high in the rankings for a long time -- not even in hoops. Not a surprise is the fact that Notre Dame checks in at #113, behind an 0-3 W. Michigan team as well as a slew of Division 1-AA teams including Youngstown St., McNeese St., Delaware, N. Dakota St., Villanova and Hofstra. NOw that is pretty damn funny.

Week 4 Picks for Games That Matter:
TAMU over Miami (Thursday) OU over Tulsa (Friday) Akron over Kent State for the Wagon Wheel Clemson over NC State in the Textile Bowl BYU over AFA Michigan State over Notre Dame (doubt not the D'Antoni) Michigan over Penn State LSU over S. Carolina UK over Arkansas (at the end of the game, a lone trumpeter plays Taps, signalling the end of Houston Nutt's coaching career. It's been a long, slow death.) Alabama over UGA (yes I will hop on this bandwagon) TCU over SMU for the Iron Skillet U-Dub over UCLA
Pretty crummy slate of games this week. Hopefully something totally ridiculous -- cough-cough-StanfordoverOregon-cough-cough -- will happen to give Week 4 some life.

Are those predictions straight up or factoring in the lines? Also, no earthly way PSU drops the game to scUM.

No? you have to understand that there are too many good athletes on that team to go completely out of control ala ND. The reason they have been loosing is A. Bad coaching. B. Bad and shaky qb with Henne and C. Shotgun spread B and C are no longer factors and once these atheletes go up against what they were recruited and trained to do (stop a traditional run oriented offense) then they could return to their winning ways, unless Loyd really ruines them

Are those predictions straight up or factoring in the lines? Also, no earthly way PSU drops the game to scUM. Michigan lost a close game due to poor decision-making by Two Point Conversion Lloyd. As if that's never happened before. Michigan got routed by a Pac-10 team, just like last season. Michigan wrecked Notre Dame, just like last season. Next up, Michigan beats PSU, just like every time they have played since 1996.

I am not sure if Wolverines win--but they've got a shot due to the play of Anthony Morelli--who is just shaky as it gets behind center.
They've also played a common opponent-and Michigan dominated ND from get go--with a true FR QB playing--Penn State was in a game for a Half--and that is despite PSU dominating ND's overmatched offense--but who hasn't stopped ND offense? This game is much more even then PSU fans think.
