sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1965565It looks like they finally took a step in the right direction. I'm not sure it's harsh enough, but it's not a joke like the last policy was. Hopefully, now we don't have to worry about who's doping and can go back to the fun parts of baseball-watching the amazing players and hating the Yankees (who are pretty much the only thing wrong w/ baseball now...well, ok, there's bud selig, carl pohlad, the union, the metrodome, the LAAA...wow, somehow I managed to make myself depressed in a thread about something good happening in baseball)

I agree it is a positive step, but it still pales in comparison with the Olympics policy, which is two year suspension for the first offense and LIFETIME for the 2nd. In baseball's new plan it takes four or five positive tests to get you banned for a year. The 10-day ban for the first offense is a bit of a joke. All-year testing is the right way to do it, however.
