nope nodak-you're definately wrong-there's just no way. It's obvious he's going to listen to "How We Do", not "Drop It Like It's Hot"
Well, and obviously, Heart of a Hoya, but that goes w/o saying.

Two Jeff Greens!?! That would be a good lineup ;D LOL! In our dreams. Sorry about that. Replace one of those Greens with a Cook.

I'm not that familiar with Hibbert. I know he's 7'3, but does he have a lot of skill? I am not trying to put the guy down at all, I am just wondering what your perspective of his game is at this stage.
We have a 7 footer in Chris Charles, but Chris has yet to reach his potential (or maybe he has???). He is not strong with the ball and is not an option on offense at all. Defensively he is OK but he really should be a better rebounder. Chris right now is a backup center in the BE, at very best.
As for the 4 guard look, that will be interesting. Freshman Kyle Lowry is the 4th guard, and he has only played in 3 games this year due to his torn ACL. I can't see Jay sticking with that lineup for long but it will depend on how we play I suppose.
Sheridan has a lot of energy and he usually plays pretty smart, but you are right in that he has been plagued by the foul bug this year. He fouled out of the PC game with 7 points and 6 boards. We need Will to do better than that.
I am really interested to see (well, unfortunately, to HEAR) how Jeff Green does. I am really confident in our outside shooting since this game is at home. On the inside, it is going to be a monumental struggle against you guys. But I'll trade 2 for 3! Seriously it is going to be a good chess match out there.
Good luck...

I think we go with the big line up because it will force any zone to collapse on Roy and Jeff when they get the ball - and with Ashanti, Brandon, Wallace, and Green in there we will have a very legit inside outside threat with height mismatches for 4 out of 5 of our players. Also on the defensive end this will give us a serious advantage in altering shots and rebounding. Obviously we don't want to get into a track meet with 4 guards in for Nova - but no one has ever accused the Princetown offense of being lightning-quick. I think we'd be dumb not to go with the big line up for most of the game.

I think we'd be dumb not to go with the big line up for most of the game. The cynic in me says that Gtown didn't know how to exploit such a height advantage when it had Mourning and Mutombo in the starting lineup. But then I remember that the current coaching staff has a better grasp of the half court offense than previous regimes. Still I do not think the Hoyas can exploit Nova's lineup with height as easily as some of you suggest. Nova will zone the Hoyas on d and live with the results of the Hoyas' outside shooting and then go wild on the perimeter on offense as they blow past our starting lineup and force Roy and Jeff to come guard them outside. Who knows? I could be dead wrong.

Here's what I know-whatever lineup JT3 goes w/, if it works, he'll stick w/ it as long as he can and if it doesn't work, then he'll tinker w/ the lineup until he finds one that does work.

My thoughts behind using the big line up during the game are that you put VU in a very uncomfortable position. If they stick to the 4 guards then they give up a ton of height guarding both Green and Bowman. If they put in a 7 footer to counter Roy then we can sub in Owens and run the break more effectively. I think that with Roy in the game the Princetown offense will work better though, especially if he flashes up to the high post and gets the ball - which will force the guard playing down in the blocks in the zone to help out - opening up room for a back door cut. Plus the size disadvantage of Nova is huge in just forcing our offense to alter shots - if Green and Brandon can just shoot over the guards then expect them to have a big night.

Vegas loves Villanova. I'm surprised to see the spread at -6.5, just because of the injuries. Makes me a little nervous.
