This meet started last night and is continuing today at State College. They are a little slow on getting the results up, so i will try to post as soon as they have them.

Ok, I have some results from last night. These weren't our best events, and even in the distance medley relay, the Hoyas did not put together their best team. So on the women's side, in the 60m Monica Hargrove came in 31st overall in 7.90 s, Cinya Burton was 50th in 8.11, and Nichole Torpey 57th in 8.3. Our two jumpers in the LJ fouled. The DMR finished 4th in a time of 11:44.7, which was competitive except with the first Tennessee team. Sabine Knothe, Maura McCusker, Meghan O'Neil, and Kelly Otstott. On the men's side Andrew Nolen was 53rd in 7.42 in the 60m. Felix Chrobog was 32nd in the 5000m with a time of 15:18.3. Andrew Haskell was 13th in the pole vault in 4.5 m (14'9"). The DMR team was 13th in 10:13.2 with Chris Esselborne, Chris Bonner, Tommy Manning, and Rasheed Thompson.

I will try to post the results of the track teams as often as possible. Even the official GU athletic site is often slow in getting the results up, although recently they have been better than in the past. They really deserve the recognition, because they do have some national caliber runners, who train under less than favorable conditions.

One more bit of track news. While most of the Hoyas were running at Penn State, their "A" distance medley relay team was running at Boston. They came in 2nd to Villanova (9:34.72) in 9:36.93 in a big invitational meet.
Also, Nichole Lee ran the 5000m in the Terrier Classic and finished 4th with a 16:24.88.

My pleasure, bin. I will try to report on a regular basis about the track and field teams. There is a meet at Notre Dame this weekend, in addition to one at, I believe, Virginia Tech.
