When does TILT start? I can't wait to not watch that, just like I didn't watch "3". Why does ESPN think that it can do this drama thing? Admittedly Playmakers was alright, but then ESPN showed that it could be bought by the NFL and exactly how much it lacked an independent perspective. I would much rather see the Put-Put National Championship than "3" or TILT - i mean the clown hole and windmill hole, you can't beat that. It's the same thing that MTV went through and it is because of our current commercial structure. What they find with both MTV and Sportscenter is that people will flip away after seeing a specific video or highlight. This keeps them from getting continuous ratings and makes it a harder sell to advertisers. People don't do that during reality shows or bad tv movies. So MTV and ESPN move to that. I just wish they would create an "Old ESPN" with sportscenter and sports and no commericals and just charge $10/month. During the TV timeouts they could run sportscenter or classic footage.

It would be like MTV2 which is all music, including a lot of local stuff, random stuff, etc. Even updates you on local bands actually playing nearby. Refreshing network compared to the original.
I guess it is similar to ESPN News in a way...which is what I find myself watching more often than ESPN

Actually MTV2 has started doing a lot of other shows that don't always involve videos, so MTV has created the channels MTVHits, MTVSpanish, and MTVJams to just show videos. I thought that ESPN Classic was supposed to be sort of like the "Old ESPN" - but its a pretty disappointing channel.
