Speaking of Bolton, the State Department confirmed that Bolton filled out his nomination forms incorrectly and provided inaccurate information related to his testimony re: yellow cake uranium in Niger. It remains possible that he testified in the Plame matter, although that likely occured after he submitted his papers to the Senate.
Obviously, I don't expect this to change the course, whose trajectory is toward a recess appointment. I would not expect him to be held to a standard of accurate disclosure by this Administration. However, it is highly disappointing since his possible involvement in the Niger and Plame matters involve serious national security issues. Better to get their way 100% of the time instead of compromising and throwing a few bones to the blue staters.
I have serious doubts about his ability to affect pro-US change in the UN if he is installed via a recess appointment. He'd be a wounded duck from day one.

This just in - the documents released by the Bush administration show that both Roberts and Bolton take pleasure in clubbing baby seals and feed exclusively on the blood of puppies. Sean Hannity and O'Riely are still backing both nominees.
