Former Gov. Mike O'Callaghan of Nevada died early today, while attending morning Mass at a local Las Vegas parish. Gov. O'Callaghan served Nevada from 1971 to 1978. After he served his two terms as governor, he went to work at the Las Vegas Sun, where he wrote many of the editorials. Gov. O'Callaghan did grad work in economics at Georgetown, and he served besides the editor of the Sun, Brian Greenspun, C'68, GULC'71. May he rest in peace.
