Do any of you peeps know Jenny Toomey. They had a piece on her on NPR this morning. She graduated from GU Law Center, formed the band Tsuname, and is now an advocate for musicians and their causes. There may be some material on the NPR website today about the interview; I haven't checked yet.

Acutally, she co-founded an organization with another GU alum, Michael Bracy, C'90, called Future of Music. It's a group that pulls together people from around the music industry, ranging from songwriters and performers to industry executives, and tries to represent the concerns of artists to the industry as a whole. They have had a couple of "summits" on campus during the last couple of years, and I think the picture on the linked web page was taken in the corridors of Healy Hall (you can sort of make out the arches). www.futureofmusic.org/members.cfm

Never saw Tsunami, but she does some great background vocals on the Promise Ring song "The Deep South".
