Listen to the national I-AA talk show I-AA WAVES every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Central time at I-AA.org. This week our "Legendary Coaches of I-AA" series spotlights Harold "Tubby" Raymond of University of Delaware fame. Features include David Coulson (I-AA.org) and Matt Dougherty (Sports Network) who lend an earful and insight into the NCAA's top football championship tier. Interviews include this week's guests: Kevin Kelly, Head Coach of Georgetown; Larry Lewis, Head Coach of Idaho State; and David Bennett, Head Coach of Coastal Carolina. Please tune in live every week to hear the full show or listen to the archive. As usual, no ads!
I think it well, but the interviewer was too concerned discussing the coach's resume than what he has to do going forward. Further discussion of the key returnees of the 2006 season and what Georgetown needs to do to be competitive were only brought up at the end of the discussion.
Yeah, the coach interviews (the first time) are profiles too. It is intended to introduce the person to the national I-AA audience, not just concerned with the upcoming season though that is covered as well. I-AA WAVES you know, not HOYA WAVES.
28 minutes of Kelly! Hear how he prepared for his first head coaching job... his past successes... how he chose his Georgetown staff... what he thinks about the future... what he thinks about this year's team... how he's keeping the offense schemes a secret... etc.
Finally! The archive is posted, a day after the show. What took so long was the "Legendary Coaches of I-AA" file got mangled and had to be rebuilt. Those of you who listened live did not hear the preamble to that special which is now on the archive (it's the first segment).
