Hoyas hold the Hawks at the one as time expires for the half--ends a 14 play drive that took up the final 3:50 of the half.
10-7 at the break.

Speaking of the D, I heard Goranson's named called on that last drive. The Illini transfer has had a fairly quiet career at the Hilltop, although I know he's struggled with a number of injuries. Three years ago I'd expected to hear a lot more of him, but maybe he's making his impact felt by occupying blockers so that Buzbee and Ononibaku can get free.

GU is forced to punt after first series of second half.
Monmouth is forced to punt, but the punter keeps it and converts. Then, after a sack dropped Boland for a huge loss, a deep toss to a wide open receiver at the GU05 (it was 3d & 20) allows him to walk in.
MU 17-7

First downs in this game:
Monmouth 15 Georgetown 2
The defense can't be out there all day.

Listening to the coaches in the press box screaming their heads off is classic.

Is it just me DFW, or have the recent antics of the Olde Towne Team taking much of the sting out of another Hoya lacklustre performance. MUCH of the sting.

Hoyas' finally force a Monmouth punt, actually get the ball with a kick, and Emir Davis coughs it up at the GU05 on the first play.
TD MU on the next play.

Davis fumbles at the 4.
In other scores, here's a weird one:
7:55, 4th: Iowa 6, Penn State 4

Someone get Benson a wrench, because the wheels are coming off.
GU down 24-7 with 4:27 left in the 3d.

well maybe its because I gave up on this team after the Duquesne massacre. But I find it hard to get worked up over the offensive impotence since it now seems far too normal. I am sure I will care again next year- the last month has been about nothing but the Red Sox for me.

Tough situation to put in a "freshman". Gotta hope Drew can hit a couple of passes.

I think I woud have more respect for an offense that sucked with one QB than one that sucks with three different ones. I say train Nick to be next year's starter now, the rest of the season matters little. No more W's.

Crawford and the O still showing some life, completing a long pass to Saunders at the MU24. Let's see how this plays out before calling for Nick.
By the way, I think the coaches in the background are Monmouth's staff. Dunno why, just the way it sounds.

Just got back after missing most of this quarter. Looks like the team fell apart while I was gone. Listening to the last few minutes of this those coaches in the booth have been going absoltely insane, hahaha. Some of the stuff they have said is hilarious.

40 yard FG, 24-10.
Hoyas still have only three first downs all day.
