A little off topic...I am the Dad of a new football recruit. We live in the DC area and I wanted to know if the school arranges buses, etc. for fans to attend away games. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, GU hasn't done any official road trips so far. That said, the Gridiron Club, which is the alumni/boosters club for GU Football, has been increasingly active over the last couple of years, with barbeques at most of the away games. Hopefully, that can translate into a larger set of events. DFW tries to keep people updated of any events like that over at www.hoyasaxa.com/sports/football.htm. Otherwise, I think you can become a member of the Gridiron Club, and they'll send out mail and email updates. They're at www.hoyasaxa.com/sports/ggc-home.htm

Recruit John Lancaster just won the Mass All State meet for the 55M Dash. Ran 6.51 and is going to the nationals in couple of weeks.

Thus far, 4 PL teams (Bucknell, Lafayette, Lehigh (today) and Fordham) have listed their 2004 recruiting class. Is it known if GU will formally announce a class?

I'm pretty sure they've done so in the past, but I don't know what their usual timing is...

Per Rivals, Georgetown is competing with Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Columbia and Montana for academically-minded four sport star Marcellus Green (football, basketball, track, lacrosse). Green, a CB, is out of Minnesota. He's 5'10", 175 lbs, runs a 4.5 40, according to Rivals. georgetown.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=271140Kinda interesting, huh?

Not sure how academically minded he is--2.8 GPA. He's a junior by the way.

By the same token, I'm not sure we have the academic programs that he's interested in.
