The ND win on the Roy dunk, the Duke win, the Ohio State win that put GU in the Sweet 16, the Villanova road win with Jeff's first big last second shot this season (the first of several) and the UNC win make my list. The Notre Dame BET semifinal and the Vandy game at the Meadowlands, both of which I attended, were epic as well. Those would be consistent with the thread.
Digging a little deeper into the vault of turning point games, call me arcane but that road game against Davidson win early in his first year is one that I remember. After getting mauled by Temple and then beating someone terrible, GU went in and set an all time GU record for three pointers, and I remember correctly Wallace hit six in his third or fourth game. It was the first sign that GU was going to be competitive - Davidson was pretty good that year, I think they were coming off a good game against Duke and wound up 16-0 in their conference - and it was a glimpse of the kind of games GU would play from their on out.
There were two BET Losses that I will always remember - the Big East defeat to UConn in year one, where - gosh was it Green? Who took that three pointer that rimmed out? Cook I think - but most of the crowd was rooting for Georgetown at the Garden, and I'll never forget the feeling as GU brought the ball up the court, chance to tie or win, and the entire place - 19,000 - rose to their feet bellowing their brains out. I knew the loss knocked GU out of the NCAAs but UConn was a top five team and it was clear that the Hoyas had arrived. And secondly, for whatever reason, that semifinal loss to Syracuse the following year didn't bother me as much as it might have - it was such a great feeling to root for a team that was having epic semifinal games at the Garden, even on the losing end.

-laughing at mother thompson run to the mezzanine level in nj and purchase every region champ shirt in sight after the unc game
-having dinner with coach the night before the oh st game and too nervous to finish my meal as other guest and myself spoke about how all the long road trips under esh were worth it and how many players could have improved under jt2.
-watching the pride beam from big john as he hugged jt2 after the oh st win, yes those were tears coming from big john!!!
-watching #3 occur at MSG when we beat pitt!

In no particular order:
1) Seeing the crawl on ESPN announce the Hoyas hired former Princeton coach John Thompson III. Sometimes you just know.
2) Inbound play from the baseline in overtime of the UNC game. Sapp triggers to Green. Backdoor to Wallace for an uncontested layup. An Esherick team would have turned the ball over. A JT2 team would have taken the ball to the top of the key to set up. When the Hoyas execute, they are perfect.
3) In the first half of the Duke game, Green bobbles a pass from Wallace at the top of the key against Sheldon. Help comes to double. Green lays a perfect bounce pass. Bowman picks it up at knee level and, without breaking stride, reverse-dunks the ball. It wasn't showboating...from the angle he was running, Bowman had to throw down behind his head. 24-10 Hoyas, if I recall correctly. At that point, I had been watching college basketball for over thirty years. I had never seen a player in a half court set throw down a reverse dunk.
4) Any time a Hoya switches defending a screen. I have rarely seen a team take away penetration from a high pick as well as Thompson's clubs do. When you're so used to seeing a team funnel to help for 20 years, seeing a switch that maintains pressure on the ball is breathtaking.
5) Hugging old friends after Summers threw down his final dunk in overtime against UNC. Just pure joy.

I wish we would fight through screens more to be honest. The over-switching leads to cheap fouls, especially for Roy, who tends to hedge screens too much especially at the top of the key.
If you want to defend an area, go with zone. If you want to defend a man, go with man.

I think the Nova game at the Wachovia Center last year could make the list. A convincing argument could be made that it was the turning point last year. Plus, big moments with the Green shot at the end and the Sapp half court shot at the end of the first half. That was a cool game - taking all those buses of fans up to Philly and making our presence known was great stuff. Seeing all the glum Nova fans afterwards warmed my heart. That said, I wouldn't include it in any list of top moments just because we played so badly.

I would too, but we're going to have to make adjustments with Jeff gone. We simply cannot afford to have Roy in the foul trouble that he was in during the tournament this past year. If Roy is staying at home better on the perimeter, fine, but we're in a world of hurt if he starts picking up perimeter fouls in the tournament like he did last year.
