6'5" wing from CA in process of scheduling a visit to Georgetown according to Eric Bossi's weekend recap:
"One of the weekend's big winners has been Concord (Calif.) De Lasalle wing Elliott Pitts. The 6-foot-5 wing from the class of 2013 is skilled, can shoot and is an outstanding passer off of the dribble.
With good quickness and the ability to make plays for himself or others, the junior had a crowd following him on Saturday.
Pitts said that he has offers already from Santa Clara, Portland, UC Davis, Cal, Boston College, Arizona State and San Francisco and they were all on hand with lots of others.
According to Pitts, he's taken unofficial visits to Cal, San Francisco and Santa Clara and is in the process of setting up visits with UCLA, Stanford and Georgetown.
Pitts is in no hurry to decide and is taking a broad approach.
"I think academics will play a big role in my decision," said Pitts of what he's looking for. "If I don't play after college I want to know that I will have a good degree."

Interesting. His emphasis on academics will definitely help us. Also love that he can shoot and attacks off the dribble. Always love a wing that creates for himself AND others.
Has anyone seen him?

Update today on Scout as well. In that one, says he'll make a fall decision and location is not a factor in his recruitment. Continued emphasis on academics in the Scout update also.

Academics must be important if he is considering UCLA, Stanford, and us. Not sure we have an advantage there, but certainly we are not at a disadvantage.

More national pub for Elliot Pitts: norcalbasketball.blogspot.com/2012/04/more-national-pub-for-elliot-pitts.htmlDave Telep in his listing of breakout performers from the two weekend tourneys in Vegas: Elliott Pitts 2013, SF, 6-5, 190 pounds The cerebral, skilled forwards always carry a premium tag. Pitts isn’t a one-trick pony with a single shot. He’s a handler, passer and shooter. The great shooters aren’t married to a single spot on the floor and Pitts can make shots from midrange and deep. His overall feel for the game is easy to spot and has to be valued. He needs strength to handle versus pressure and play through contact. It’s a credit to his game that Pitts is tough to pin down position-wise. He said Arizona State and California were on him the hardest. UC-Davis, Santa Barbara, Portland and Santa Clara will face stiff competition with Boston College in the mix. Lookout for Georgetown, UCLA, Oregon and Colorado; they would be players if they elected to enter the mix. This is from Joel Francisco, attending the same tournaments: Elliott Pitts 2013, WF, 6-5, 190 pounds Cal, Arizona State, Boston College, Santa Clara, Portland and UC Davis are his current offers and there will be more to come -- especially if he continues to play at the level he exhibited at the Pangos Spring Spectacular. Pitts plays with great pace and he is always on balance (utilizes the jump stop) when converting play after play. He can knock down jump shots from all over the court and he’s an excellent driver (solid first step) as well. He is one of the few players who have a solid midrange game to boot and he appears to be getting more confident with each event.

"He does a really good job of running the offense and playing with his teammates. He makes good decisions with the ball and gets everyone involved. So it was crucial to have him with us." At 6-foot-5 and about 190 pounds, Pitts is a solid shooter and driver who has the ability to handle the ball. For Greenline, in fact, he was essentially the point guard and wing scorer at the same time. "In our offense, he can basically be whatever he wants," Noack said. "He can run the point. He can be a wing player. He can go post up. That makes him a very versatile player. "His shooting ability has really improved. His ability to get to the rim with either hand has really gotten better. And his basketball IQ is just off the charts. He understands what to do, when to get the best shots.” Other than Arizona, Pitts is considering Cal, Washington, Georgetown and Virginia. "Any school that fits me," Pitts said. "I'm willing to go anywhere."
