A buddy of mine said he recently watched Kuran play in a high school game in CT and said that the kid is an absolute stud. Evidently he's Allen Iverson's cousin and an absolute freakish athlete. He's a freshman, 6'8", 170 lbs, with great athleticism and ball handling skills.
Does anyone know anything more about him?

Iverson at GU with Coach Thompson is a natural fit.

Nothing more then if I find a 6'8" freshman that can handle the ball I WANT HIM!!!! Hey Kuran, wanna be a combo between your older cousin and Jeff Green? Come to Georgetown. If he is not awkward with that height now I can only imagine in 4 years. I'm sure JTIII (if not II, if not AI's mother, hoping she is alive and well) are already getting the hoya blue infused into his blood!!!

He's a freshman, 6'8", 170 lbs, with great athleticism and ball handling skills. Does anyone know anything more about him? I have seen the kid play a few times this year and he is very very good. He's kinda lanky right now but I think that's more to do with the fact he hasn"t matured physically yet. He has good form and range on his shot and a good handle for his size. He's much more comfortable facing up right now. He is on track to be a high major type player if he puts the work in. I don't think the "Iverson" angle will have much pull with him since he's never met or spoken with AI. The fact that Calhoun just signed a 4yr deal at Uconn on top of how bad the team was this year says to me they'll pull out every shady trick in the book to keep him in CT if he continues to improve as a player over the next few years. Below is a recent article on the youngster.. articles.courant.com/2010-02-12/sports/hc-hshoopfeat0212.art0feb12_1_allen-iverson-iverson-s-last-fall-northwest-catholic

Hoop Mountain Invitational – Sat. Recap
While over 60 division II and III college coaches lined the gymnasium walls on Saturday, the Hoop Mountain Invitational stood out with its high major talent as two nationally top ranked players were in action. Dejuan Coleman, tops in 2012 according to ESPN, and Kuran Iverson, number one in 2013 by Hoop Scoop, were the big story but that didn’t take away from a variety of other impressive performances.
• The highly touted Iverson from Northwest Catholic High School was in action today, playing 17u ball for ANU Generation in there matchup against 518 Hustle of New York. Iverson was quiet in the first half due to foul trouble, but scored in a variety of ways in the second half, including a high flying alley-oop dunk and several three pointers.

Telep from TOC:
"Kuran Iverson, SF, LI Lightning 15s: Roll out the Rudy Gay, Devin Ebanks and maybe even Charlie Villanueva comparisons. He’s going to wind up being a jumbo small forward. Iverson (as he’s aptly named) can handle the ball, slide into his shot and sports a natural game. His ceiling is enormous and expectations will be significant for him. He’s 6-8 with skills that translate into potentially thriving as an elite talent."

From Jerry Meyer over the weekend:
"Yet another 2013 stud is Kuran Iverson. I don't know if point power forward is a position, but if it is Iverson is the guy who fills it. At 6-foot-8 and around 205 pounds, Iverson handles the ball like a guard and has the ability to make a ton of plays passing with his court vision or for himself with his athleticism. Iverson has special ability, and running with the Long Island Lightning he showed it in winning effort where he put the team on his back and dominated the game. He is one of the premier talents in his class."

From Rivals' Brian Snow at TOC:
"Iverson is just flat out special. The 6-foot-8 forward can shoot it from deep, handled the ball like a guard, and is a very good athlete. The upside on him is absolutely through the roof, and he showed it on the way to the title."

Rivals' Eric Bossi on Iverson from this past weekend's Nike Hoop Jam in St. Louis:
Kuran Iverson, SF- Looking long term, the 6-foot-7 Iverson was arguably the top prospect in attendance. The rising sophomore has a very impressive handle for a rising sophomore, can get to the rim, makes some jumpers and is a high level athlete. There were times that he looked like a young Penny Hardaway out there while running the point. He's still young and still has a lot of loose ends to tie up, but he's got the talent to be a special prospect with work.

Is his body covered with tattoos? If he does have tattoos, are you saying GU shouldn't recruit him?
