Latavious Williams, a 6-7 PF from Humble (Texas) Christian Life ranked No. 6 at his position by Rivals, is considering Kentucky, Memphis and Georgetown, his coach, Carlos Wilson, said by phone. “He’s getting ready to decide here in the next week or so,” Wilson said..... per zagsblog

Whoa... at least one part of the question will be solved. But even if he chooses us, we won't know if he will be academically eligible this fall for quite some time yet. Latavious Williams! Georgetown Hoya!

good question ceb. not sure if he has but it would not have been hard for him to do so. some of the tourneys he and his teams have een to have been nearby. so he might have seen the campus and gotten a feel. thing is that after cousins committed to memphis both latavious and memphis seemed to lose mutual interest. so it would assume that cousins going to kentucky would not make UK attractive to latavious. So i am more worried about memphis.....but i think right now we have alot of things going for us over memphis. i don't think latavious would want to play for a rookie head coach. Especially a rookie head coach know more for his work with guards.

Uk wasn't even an option until Cal got the gig and made a call. That doesn't bode well imo.

Well Kentucky is out and Europe is an option as well if he doesn't qualify. Now Memphis more of an option than before with the new coach who was initially recruiting him. And decision now seems to be coming in a few weeks.... tinyurl.com/chmrte

I don't have any info or anything, just a a gut feeling, but I don't think this kid ever wears a Hoya uniform, and it's 50-50 as to whether he plays a second of college basketball period.

I'm just glad to hear he has turned his academic situation around 360 degrees.

Good to see Hollis down there as one of the top ball handlers. As an aside, Jordan Hamilton is all over the list. Texas got a superb class

Jordan Hamilton is a headcase and is not that great of a scorer. A volume scorer who had been hailed as the next great thing, he'll be solid at Texas but won't be as special as Bradley. Seen him many times in Socal.
