I met a cousin in Louisville that I have been friends with for some time. All of his family was excited over his decision to attend law school. The world needs fewer lawyers who went to law school straight after college and more people who worked for a year or two before starting the Paper Chase. Really, if I would have had the chance to travel around Europe and work for an international boss ... wow, you can't put a price on the value of that. Is it possible he could play for 2-3 years and put away enough to get him through law school with a nice cushion at the end? Get a head start on his career? Buy a house? And he gets to keep playing basketball at a high level. The little guy from Alabama will surely make the most of his eye-opening opportunity to travel and reside in Europe. All the best!
