I liked JT2 in those Nike Bracketville ads, but this blows those away.
Yeah, JT3 is a bad ass.
(and I'm sure those are not GU players, the NCAA might frown upon that).
TIP - you can download the video by going to the link in the upper left.

Wow.
And not only did JTIII make the cut, but also McDonough. Awesome.

That is awesome, I guess the message is similar to an old EA Sports one for NCAA FBall 2008 with Adrian Peterson which has him replaying the OU-Boise State game and ending by yelling "I AM GOLIATH". We are the goliath of college basketball
Overall jumpman has some of the sweetest adds, I really liked this one from last year http://www.nike.com/jumpman23/home/index....&contentID=1137

I should also point out that this add is so much better than those stupid Coach K/Roy Williams State Farm/Coke/Chevy adds

Great "chill moment" (copyright Bill Simmons) commercial, but did they have to include both Villanova celebrating in 1985 AND Jordan hitting the shot in 1982? What, no film from the Wyoming loss?
That being said, it is phenomenal to see JTIII featured prominently in a national commercial. It's almost enough to forgive Nike/Jumpman for the horrible System of Dress unis.

Was the bell from Healy? They showed the Healy Clock but that was not the Healy bell sound.
The kid in the beginning looked like Brandon Bowman for a split second...

Inadvertently deleted my earlier post. Here's what I said, I think.
The ad is powerful because it uses Georgetown to break down the dichotomy between Cindarellas and Goliaths. Throughout the ad, we see images of cindarella type moments: Nova, UNC, NCState, Boise St., etc.
The fact that we were on the losing end of two of those moments allows the ad to cast us as one of the goliaths. In that sense, we are the Big East title contender, the team with a target on our backs, the team to beat; therefore our coach is working tirelessly to prevent the upset. He is there in the late hours learning from history and the mistakes of his father (literally) on how to survive the upset.
However, the use of those clips also subverts the concept of Cinderella. Those moments defined and launched the programs that created them. What is UNC without that win over GU? Or NCSt without Jimmy V running with his arms up? Or Nova without their title? Or Boise St. without their statue of liberty? Those were cindarella type moments that launched programs, that defined them. Similarly, what is Georgetown without the return of JTIII? They are drawing a parallel between the arrival of JTIII and those great moments in program history. Not only does he respect and understand the lessons of the past, but he embodies one of those moments for a program.
Therefore, perhaps we are one of the Cindarellas as well, but we just haven't had that moment yet, that iconic moment seared into the collective visual memory. The ad suggest that maybe that moment is just a few weeks away. However, it doesn't suggest that this moment will be the result of magic or fairy godmothers; nay, it will be the result of hard, tireless, diligent work. Work that takes place in the wee hours of the morning. Work that never ceases. It suggests this by showing teams practicing on the football field--foreshadowing Boise St. working to produce that magic moment. Then it shows Gtown practicing and reviewing film.
Therefore, perhaps there are no fairytale stories, only hard workers. Hard workers who answer the bell when it rings. Hard workers who channel all their efforts into capitalizing on the opportunities when they present them...even if its in the last seconds of the game.
In the end, the ad blows up the dichotomy and suggests that the truly great moments are those that are earned, appreciated and fought for up until the last second, the eleventh hour and 59th second and then some. There are no fairy godmothers handing it to you, you have to stay late and learn from the past and train for the future.

That is an amazing video.
This is one of the few times that I will be able to download a video on the internet and not get in trouble if my wife finds it!

that explains this:
http://store.cstv.com/marketplace/store_....oduct_id=120930
i stumbled across this while looking for gear yesterday and was curious as to why i couldn't find one with the same slogan for any other team yet...i wonder if they made 8 different versions of that commercial. hopefully, if they did, they didn't make shirts to match.
