Purely out of curiosity, what was Josh Thornton doing playing in the Kenner League in the summer of 2004, when he wasn't set to show up at Georgetown for a full year? Was this a different Thornton? Were HS players formerly permitted to play with the college and pro guys? It was Josh Thornton. He had committed to Gtown before the school season and made a rare appearance for a high school player on a Tombs team. Didn't know my KL thread was still up. Its a shame that in this current setup the same errors plaguing FL Hoya this summer show up so it is kinda tough to read.

Gotta love this reasoning: let's pick the guy with more flash. Despite my instinct to say Ryan Anderson, I have to go with Danny Granger. If you're going to take one guy and not the other from Indiana, I take the guy who puts up the numbers, the guy with the flash, and the guy who is probably more responsible for Indiana's success this season. In a word, I would take Granger over Roy Hibbert any day of the week.

Congrats to big Roy, have a feeling this could become a regular thing(and teaming up with Greg might happen a few times as well).

I didn't know where else to put this, but Otto tweeted that apparently the Heat are practicing in McDonough right now. Yuck.

I bet none of our players want a chance to watch/play with/talk to Dwyane Wade and LeBron James. (But, please keep Henry away from Chris Bosh. He's already enough of a finesse player.)

I don't have a problem with people saying Granger over Hibbert. They are different players and Granger IS more responsible for the pacers good season. Fact is they had to pick a center and Hibbert's only competition is Noah for a backup to howard. That is reality. Greg will start to get his soon - but he has some competiton. Is Lebron listed as a 4? Bosh (ridiculous he should not be there), boozer - getting older, amare who is still a beast in my opinion. Greg will have a harder time.
Gotta say - I hope howard goes to the lakers gets him out of the east and could set up hibbert for a long run in the ASG.

Not sure it is an issue of undisputed fact that Granger is more responsible for the Pacers' success than Roy. Granger is shooting like 37% from the field this year. He has been wildly inconsistent. Meanwhile, Roy has anchored the middle averaging a double-double, playing great defense all while Jeff Foster (his back-up) has been out for an extended period. The perimeter players on the Pacers rotate in re who is The Man. One night it is Paul George, one night it is Collison, one night it is Granger. Roy is Roy.

Pacers fans and those in the media covering the team give Roy more credit than Granger for the team's success.

Haha it is pretty cool for the program, absolutely. I just can't stand the Heat. Mostly Lebron.

He's playing the same he's played the past couple of years (maybe worse), yet the team is playing much better, and Roy is playing better. Ergo...

Darn, Greg missed one shot last night. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) On the other hand, Roy must be reading his press clippings. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Did not have a good game, stat-wise.

Love seeing all those banners. We need more "press" like this. Recruits would love to know that NBA teams practice at our "gym."

Roy is prob a rare 4 year college graduate who is an All Star. The average college experience for the West roster is 1 year and for the East 1.5 years. Steve Nash stayed all four years in college. Not sure who other recent 4 year college players made an All Star team.
