Rarely do we get scrimmage info from the Hoya side -- we simply don't get a lot of leaked info and the scrimmage doesn't allow press or students or fans.
Last year we got some comments from tech, but ths one was at GU.

When JTIII was at Princeton they scrimmaged Georgetown a couple of years.
The scrimmages are great because they arrange to play periods of zone, man, and press against each other.

I was fortunate enough to attend one or two of these scrimmages in a semi-official capacity, but I sure as heck never posted about it on this board, and no one else associated with Georgetown will do so either. Hoya Paranoia lives- just ask haydenmac. The only way we will get anything is if Virginia Tech people post about it.

I don't think the people over at HR will mind my saying that according to their sources the Hoyas won by 20 or more points. That total may be divided over the course of two or three sessions if the info is true.

Thats interesting, if true, because the last couple years I remember all the reports from the scrimmage we were usually on the losing end, or atleast not having done as well as expected. Albeit usually from Virginia Tech fans, and it is just a scrimmage, but I don't remember ever hearing really promising things like what was said about Monroe and Clark.

The Hoyas have reportedly won every or almost every time they scrimmaged against Va Tech. If there are three sessions the Hoyas would usually take at least two. The Hoyas didn't necessarily dominate the previous times but you gotta give credit to the other team. That being said while this current Hokie team may be weaker than previous years its still a good sign that the Hoyas apparently won out again this past weekend.

Even though it is limited info, the reports are really good. Clark is going to be a contributor from the start.

What's the real scoop. Why hide information about a scrimmage. In todays game where teams break each other down constantly so hiding stuff is a waste of time. I never figured why we never scrimmage on midnight madness.. And I know people will complain about why care about a scrimmage. I am an eagles fan and this is normally time mcnabb gets hurt and our season ends. Go hoyas!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason we don't scrimmage at Midnight Madness is because the last time we did, Ralph Dalton blew his knee out. Memory's a little fuzzy on this, but Ralph injured his knee in the Blue-Gray game, GU's pre-midnight madness era intrasquad scrimmage. It was during his freshman year and caused him to miss the entire season. They still held the Blue-Gray game for several years after that. This left Ralph with a year of eligibility to play the 85-86 season after graduation. I think we were the only team in the country using the intro "At center, a 6-11 graduate student...."

it was definitely the Blue-Gray game, and I'm pretty sure that was the last one.
