Now that we have both of our schedules, we can more accurately predict what we think our final schedule will be.
11/12: Savannah State - W 11/14: UNC - Greensboro - W 11/21-23: Maui Classic Kansas - W UCLA - W Duke - L 11/28: IUPUI - L 12/1: Alabama - W 12/3: NJIT - W 12/10: Howard - W 12/17: American - L 12/22: Memphis - L
12/28: at Louisville - L 12/31: PROVIDENCE - W 01/04: MARQUETTE - L 01/07: at W. Virginia - W 01/09: CINCINNATI - W 01/15: at St. John's - W 01/17: at DePaul - W 01/21: RUTGERS - L 01/28: at Pitt - L 02/01: CONNECTICUT - W 02/04: S. FLORIDA - W 02/08: at Syracuse - W 02/12: ST. JOHN'S - L 02/18: at Providence - W 02/21: at Seton Hall - W 02/25: VILLANOVA - L 02/27: NOTRE DAME - W 03/03: at Marquette - L
16-11 (11-7)
A couple of games in here that we could easily lose too. I see our max being around 18-19 games but we could win only 11-12, Fortunately our OOC will not be a place of tons of losses.

I think that this is a young team...a team that has the potential to have big wins but will have let downs. Just make a prediction.
What do you want me to say? We will lose to all the teams better then us and beat all the teams worse then us?

Win at Syracuse, lose to Villanova at home?
Jeez, if this is how our year actually goes—which is by all means possible—we're going to have some serious mental breakdowns on this board.

Ten to 12 wins in the Big East is all but unrealistic for this team given the amount of points per game it lost last year and the fact that outside its starting five, none have any substantive experience at the Big East level. Remember, this is a team which lost nearly 60% of its returning scoring, and the operative question is who makes up the difference.
Entering the pre-season, is Georgetown at the talent level of Pitt, Louisville, UConn, or Syracuse? No. West Virginia and Cincinnati? No. Marquette and Villanova? Probably not.
So, Georgetown is in a third quartile with an all-new St. John's team, the always underrated Notre Dame teams, and a mercurial USF team, all hoping to avoid making a case for the NCAA's as a 9th or 10th seed at MSG and trying not to stumble in games against the fourth quartile of Seton Hall, Rutgers, DePaul, and Providence. Yes, Georgetown could beat West Virginia, one on one. It could lose at DePaul, too. This season will take time and it will take its lumps, too.
Finally, Austin Freeman saved the 2010-11 season--not in February, but by outstanding efforts in January against Rutgers (25 points), Seton Hall (28), and Villanova (31) when it allowed Georgetown to dig out of a 1-4 hole in the Big East. If he didn't come through against the Hall and Villanova in particular, the Hoyas are staring at 2-6 heading into February.

HH made a good attempt with a couple of headsctratchers....her's my attempt at remaining objective:
11/12: Savannah State - W 11/14: UNC - Greensboro - W 11/21-23: Maui Classic Kansas - L Chamenaude - W Final round - W 11/28: IUPUI - W 12/1: Alabama - L 12/3: NJIT - W 12/10: Howard - W 12/17: American - W 12/22: Memphis - W
12/28: at Louisville - L 12/31: PROVIDENCE - W 01/04: MARQUETTE - W 01/07: at W. Virginia - L 01/09: CINCINNATI - W 01/15: at St. John's - L 01/17: at DePaul - W 01/21: RUTGERS - W 01/28: at Pitt - L 02/01: CONNECTICUT - L 02/04: S. FLORIDA - W 02/08: at Syracuse - L 02/12: ST. JOHN'S - W 02/18: at Providence - W 02/21: at Seton Hall - W 02/25: VILLANOVA - W 02/27: NOTRE DAME - L 03/03: at Marquette - W
20-9 - agree with HSB. 11-7 in conference.... may still be wishful thinking

Question....does a win against DII Chamenaude count as a "W" in our record?
Yes, it counts in the record, but not for RPI purposes. If Georgetown finished 20-10, for example, the tournament selection committee would view only its Division I record (19-10)--Admin

But this is the time of year when fans of all the teams can have the following outlook instead: ;D ;D ;D ;D OK, how about lower the bar, and hope to be surprised! GO HOYAS!
